    ITL team contributes to future of aircraft

    VICKSBURG, Miss.— Recently, the Holistic Situational Awareness and Decision Making (HAS-DM) team at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center got a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience and collect vital data that will be used to develop technologies for potential integration into the upcoming Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft and Future Long Range Assault Aircraft.

    The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) has announced the selection of Ms. Pat Sullivan as the organization’s new Deputy Director.

    Researchers from 10 U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Districts have been selected for the 2023 session of the Engineer Research and Development Center University (ERDC-U). Dr. Kyle Tidwell, fish biologist with the Portland District has been chosen as a participant for detail program, now in its eighth year.

    VICKSBURG, Miss.— Since 2019, Quincy Alexander, a research civil engineer at the U.S. Army Engineer Research Center (ERDC), has been shining a light on common barriers relating to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) that are often faced in the workplace. DEI is used to describe policies and programs that encourage equitable treatment for people of different ages, races, cultures, disabilities, religions and more. Examples of commonly documented barriers in the technical workplace include biases in recruitment and hiring, social capital and stereotype threat.

    In celebration of Earth Day, more than 100 local eighth-graders made their way to the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, Mississippi, for hands-on science demonstrations on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

    Twelve participants from across the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers were chosen for ERDC University, a six-month detail at the Engineer Research and Development Center.
