U.S.-Sweden Senior Cooperation Forum - Army

    

The annual U.S.-Sweden SCF-A will be held at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Cold Regions Research and Engineering Lab (CRREL) in Hanover, New Hampshire. The overarching goal of the SCF-A is to foster broad cooperation in the areas of materiel research, development, and acquisition between the armies of the U.S. and Sweden.

U.S. co-chairs:
Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation (DASA(DE&C)), and
Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research and Technology (DASA(R&T)).

Sweden co-chair:
Director, Army Department, Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV).

    S&T Session on Day 1

    The S&T session is an opportunity for U.S. and Swedish subject matter experts (SME) to have more in-depth discussion prior to the SCF-A.  DASA(R&T), will lead this meeting.  On the agenda, each topic is allotted 30 minutes for: 

    • Briefings
    • Discussion
    • Development of summary slides that will be presented to the SCF-A co-chairs  on the following day.

    DEADLINE: 10 Aug 18 -- Briefings / presentations must reach Coordination POC:

    For U.S. briefings, please ensure proper markings: "DISCLOSURE:  The enclosed U.S. Army briefing is approved for release to Sweden." 

    Ideally, U.S. and Swedish SMEs will discuss the new topics before the S&T session.  If at all possible, please consider establishing contact with your counterparts prior to the event in order to initiate discussion, synchronize objectives for collaboration, and develop a work plan.
