The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is one of the premier engineering and scientific research organizations in the world. As the research organization of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ERDC conducts R&D in support of the Soldier, military installations, and civil works projects (water resources, environmental missions, etc.) as well as for other federal agencies, state and municipal authorities, and with U.S. industry through innovative work agreements. ERDC research is developing innovative solutions for a safer, better world.

ERDC offers an outstanding government employee benefits package, including:

  • Competitive salaries, which also include annual cost-of-living adjustments. Some benefits vary from site-to-site, but ERDC is dedicated to supporting members of our workforce – and improving their quality of life – across the board.

 Training and Education Opportunities
  • Graduate Institute – Did you know that ERDC will support you while you pursue your advanced degree (Masters and Doctorate)?  ERDC’s state of the art Graduate Institute (GI) provides graduate-level education through association with academic institutions.  Currently, the GI has active Educational Partnership Agreements with Alcorn State University, Hinds Community College, Louisiana State University, Mississippi College, Mississippi State University, Texas A&M University, Tulane University, University of Arkansas, University of Mississippi, University of Southern Mississippi, and Vanderbilt University, enabling ERDC employees to earn academic credit and graduate degrees in a multitude of STEM areas and business fields.  Employees may also take classes in a non-degree status for additional training. The GI also provides proctoring services.
  • Leadership Development Program (LDP) - It's just what it says: a great opportunity for you to identify, build, and refine your leadership skills. LDP will equip you with valuable knowledge about yourself, your peers, and the ERDC. The tools you acquire as part of LDP will not only help shape your career, but also build future leaders for the ERDC, USACE, and beyond.
