CERL hosts National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency visit

National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency logoCHAMPAIGN, Ill.—ERDC’s Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) recently hosted a visit of Bruce Heinlein, lead for Human Geography and director of the Human Geography Joint Program Office at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

Heinlein’s visit primarily focused on coordination for the Megacities – Reconnaissance, Surveillance, Intelligence “Proof-of-Concept,” an Office of the Secretary of Defense reimbursable project involving both NGA and ERDC. 

Heinlein was also briefed on several socio-cultural analysis projects being conducted by ERDC labs, and he invited ERDC to visit the Human Geography team at NGA in St. Louis, Mo., and to present our socio-cultural capabilities to an upcoming forum of the Worldwide Human Geography Working Group.
