About GRL

The Geospatial Research Laboratory (GRL) is a leader in providing accurate, relevant geospatial information, capabilities, and research for the warfighter. For nearly 25 years, we’ve developed technology to help the military better understand the battlefield and the nation improve its civil and environmental initiatives.

Headquartered at the Army Geospatial Center in Alexandria, Virginia, and with facilities across the country, we’re a multidisciplinary team of more than 75 engineers, scientists, technicians, and support personnel working together to take groundbreaking research projects from start to finish. From 3D mapping and analysis to map-based mission planning, we’re committed to finding solutions to support the military’s modernization goals.

To accomplish this task, we work with other ERDC laboratories and partners in government, academia, and industry. Find out how to join our team.
