Welcome to CRISP!
The inaugural Cold Regions InfraStructure and Pavements (CRISP) meeting will be held on October 7th and 8th, 2020 in Hanover, NH. This event will provide a forum for discussion of pavement infrastructure needs specific to cold climates. Cold regions are faced with unique challenges in terms of design, construction, materials, and maintenance. CRISP will bring together representatives from government agencies, academia, and industry, to promote understanding of common issues and challenges in cold regions.
CRISP will be held at the ERDC Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) <make this a hyperlink>, the nation’s premier resource for cold research and arctic engineering. CRISP will include a keynote address, panel discussion, poster session, and presentations of current and future needs for cold regions. CRISP will address cold pavement topics in:
- Design and evaluation
- Materials (asphalt, concrete, etc.)
- Maintenance and rehabilitation
- Resilience and sustainability
- Transportation geotechnics
- Aging infrastructure
- Winter maintenance
- Case studies
There will also be a tour of CRREL’s facilities, and other valuable networking opportunities.
