    VICKSBURG, Miss.— Since 2019, Quincy Alexander, a research civil engineer at the U.S. Army Engineer Research Center (ERDC), has been shining a light on common barriers relating to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) that are often faced in the workplace. DEI is used to describe policies and programs that encourage equitable treatment for people of different ages, races, cultures, disabilities, religions and more. Examples of commonly documented barriers in the technical workplace include biases in recruitment and hiring, social capital and stereotype threat.

    ERDC holds second annual virtual panel commemorating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

    The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) continues to recognize the wide-range of individuals who come from different backgrounds and provide additional insights into the human experience of its workforce. In observance of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, ERDC held its second annual ERDC-wide AAPI panel discussion.

    GSL and ITL employees receive Modern-Day Technology Leader Awards

    Jan. 11, 2013, WASHINGTON, D.C.--ERDC Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) Researcher Wayne Hodo and Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) Scientist Dr. Elaine Hulitt were recently selected as a Modern-Day Technology Leaders by the Council of Engineering Deans of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Lockheed Martin Corporation and US Black Engineer and Information Technology magazine.
