    Jacksonville District’s Jake Edwards selected for ERDC University

    Jake Edwards, a Biologist with the USACE Jacksonville District, has been chosen as a participant for the 2024 session of the Engineer Research and Development Center University (ERDC-U).
  • Ian Markovich, a biologist with the Jacksonville District, has been selected for ERDC University. The goal of his six-month project is to focus on aquatic plant management, particularly Hydrilla management techniques and mechanisms to improve operational treatment efficacy.

    Researchers from 10 U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Districts have been selected for the 2023 session of the Engineer Research and Development Center University (ERDC-U). Ian Markovich, a biologist with the Jacksonville District, was chosen to participate in this detail program.

    Ceyda Polatel, a hydraulic engineer from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District, has been selected to participate in the 2021 session of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center University. This year’s participants were introduced to the organizations’ senior leaders during virtual presentations March 11.

    Corps of Engineers District Selectees graduate from ERDC University

    Participants from four U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) districts graduated from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center University (ERDC-U) in a ceremony held Sept.16, 2021. The virtual event featured project presentations from the graduates to senior leaders.

This year’s participants were introduced to the organizations’ senior leaders during virtual presentations March 11, 2021.

    ERDC University 2021 selectees announced

    Engineers from four U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) districts have been selected for the 2021 session of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center University (ERDC-U). Now in its sixth year, ERDC-U pairs USACE division and district participants with relevant laboratory mentors for six-month research projects.

    USACE Jacksonville District hydraulic engineer selected for ERDC U

    Although Dr. Ceyda Polatel first heard about the Engineer Research and Development Center University (ERDC U) through a former U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) employee, it wasn’t until she received an email and advice from her professional colleague, ERDC researcher Dr. Chuck Downer that she applied for the program.
