    ERDC researchers conduct water assessment at USAG Bavaria-Garmisch in Germany

    Ensuring safe, reliable drinking water is critical to protecting Soldier health and maintaining mission readiness at U.S. military facilities worldwide. To support that objective, three researchers from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s (ERDC) Environmental Laboratory (EL) recently traveled to a U.S. military base in Germany to evaluate water quality, resilience and treatment needs.

    Participants at the NATO railroad exercise in Mönchengladbach, Germany. The exercise was led by the 507 Specialist Team Royal Engineers (STRE), the British Army’s railway warfare and infrastructure experts, and consisted of multiple military command forces from the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and the U.K. Researchers with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center participated in the exercise.

    ERDC-CERL organizes international conference held to fight climate change and support energy security

    An International Forum aimed “towards a secure energy supply in a net zero emission society” was held in Frankfurt, Germany, January 23-25, 2023. The event was organized by the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL), along with the House of Energy e.V. to fight climate change and support energy security on the local level.
