Lucy Priddy, a research civil engineer with the Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, Miss.,  is the University of Mississippi’s Outstanding Young Alumni for 2013.  A 2002 graduate, she will receive her award from the Ole Miss Alumni Association during a reception Oct. 25 in the Gertrude C. Ford Ballroom at The Inn at Ole Miss.  Priddy is an active alumnus of the university, serving on the school of engineering’s advisory board from 2007-2012.

“I was very surprised when I received the phone call that I had been selected, as I was not aware I had been nominated,” said Priddy.  “I consider myself very fortunate to be a graduate of Ole Miss. She is the author of numerous publications in the fields of pavement rehabilitation, airfield damage repair and airfield evaluation.  During 2010-2011, she served as a liaison officer to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology.
