LUXOR, Egypt-- ERDC’s International Research Office (IRO) provided support to the recent 7th International Symposium on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS).
More than 125 scientists and students from 24 countries participated in the conference.
The 11 technical sessions and the 129 oral and poster presentations considered the fundamental physics of LIBS and provided discussion of the application of LIBS chemical analysis in the fields of biomedical, environmental, cultural resources, industrial, and security/defense.
Other organizations providing support to the international symposium included the Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, and the Office of Naval Research-Global.
