HANOVER, N.H. — ERDC Environmental Laboratory's (EL) Dr. Jeffery A. Steevens, a senior scientist in biotechnology, was invited to be a scientific member of the Governance Board for the Woodrow Wilson Institute Emerging Nanotechnology Project.

Steevens represents the Army and the Department of Defense on the characteristics and properties of nanoparticles that support decision-making and regulations relevant to environmental health and safety.

This membership opportunity will allow ERDC to transition science and also support informed regulatory decisions that will affect Army technologies.

The Woodrow Wilson Institute is a non-profit organization that focuses on integrating science and public policy to inform and develop solutions to the nation's problems and challenges. More information about this effort can be found at The Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies site.
