CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Lance Marrano and Michael Grussing, Champaign, Louis Bartels, Mahomet, and Joseph Karbarz, Bloomington, Ill., won the James D. Prendergast Technology Transfer Achievement Award from the Construction Engineering Research Laboratory. The team was recognized for the widespread adoption of the BUILDER sustainment management system, which was developed at CERL. Its successful technology transfer is allowing many facility owners to manage their assets strategically and cost-effectively.
