CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—Tim Hayden, Champaign, won the National Military Fish and Wildlife Association’s Military Natural Resource Conservation Research, Fish and Wildlife Award. He was recognized for research that has provided significant scientific knowledge toward conservation and recovery of threatened, endangered, and at-risk species, while reducing restrictions on training and testing activities at numerous U.S. Army installations such as Forts Hood, Tex., Bragg, N.C., and Irwin, Calif. His research has resulted in removing restrictions from thousands of acres, freeing the lands to help ensure military readiness. Hayden is a program manager at the Construction Engineering Research Laboratory.
