CERL's Bandy receives Army honors

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — ERDC Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) Installations Division Chief Dr. John Bandy has received the Superior Civilian Service Award from the Department of the Army.

Bandy was recognized for his leadership and management contributions during his tenure directing division operations. He oversaw numerous significant programmatic changes that enhanced the laboratory capabilities, streamlined the research branch organizations to provide effective and efficient customer support, and created an adaptive work environment to ensure the division's continued relevance to the Army.

CERL Director Dr. Ilker Adiguzel presented the award at a ceremony April 10. Bandy retired from CERL April 30 after 34 years in civil service.
