ERDC’s East Keynote Speaker at ASCE International Conference on Computing in Civil Engineering

CLEARWATER, Fla. –  ERDC Construction Engineering Research Laboratory’s Dr. Bill East gave the opening keynote address recently at the 2012 American Society of Civil Engineers International Conference on Computing in Civil Engineering.

The presentation, described results of the project, "Life-Cycle Model for Mission Ready Sustainable Facilities."

East presented the new Unified Theory of Building Information Modeling project.  The theory states that building control systems may be created for all services within the built environments by the proper delivery of user and technical criteria, open standard definitions of components, assemblies, and connections, and access to building telemetry information.
