Fowler Lauded by Army

Champaign, Ill. — Douglas Fowler, chief of ERDC-CERL's Management Integration Office, recently received the Department of the Army Superior Civilian Service Award from the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MANSCEN) at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. The award recognizes Fowler's achievements during his eight years at MANSCEN prior to joining ERDC in 2010.  As the former Environmental Program Technical Director, he represented the U.S. Army Engineer School in synchronizing environmental doctrine among the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Joint Command, and sister Services. He supervised evaluation of Combined, Joint, Multi-Service, Army, and Service-specific doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures to analyze, validate, modify, and develop new systems, concepts organizations, and equipment in support of the Army Strategy for the Environment.
