Vicksburg, Miss. — ERDC Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) Director Dr. David Pittman has been selected to receive the 2010 Presidential (Meritorious) Rank Award, the highest award for career Senior Executive Service members.
Each year, the President recognizes and celebrates a small group of career senior executives and senior career employees with the Presidential Rank Award.
Recipients of this prestigious award are strong leaders, professionals, and scientists who achieve results and consistently demonstrate strength, integrity, and a relentless commitment to excellence in public service. Award winners are chosen through a rigorous selection process evaluated by boards comprised of private citizens, approved by the President. The evaluation criteria focus on leadership and results.
Pittman and other award recipients were honored during a ceremony hosted by the Secretary of the Army at the Pentagon June 29.
