ASHRAE honors Zhivov

Champaign, Ill. — Dr. Alexander Zhivov, ERDC-CERL, collected two awards from the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) at the society's annual meeting in Montreal during June.

Zhivov, a senior researcher in the Energy Branch, received the ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award for serving the society faithfully and with distinction on committees, giving freely of his time and talent. He also earned the Exceptional Service Award, which recognizes member contributions beyond efforts required for the Distinguished Service Award.

ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is an international organization that strives to advance heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education.
