BOULDER, Colo. — ERDC Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory Director Dr. Robert "Bert" Davis recently co-chaired a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Water Cycle Challenge Workshop at NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory in Boulder, Colo.

More than 65 participants from ERDC, Institute for Water Resources, NOAA, U.S. Geological Survey, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and academia met to discuss and develop recommendations to NOAA leadership and its research council that will be valuable in forming NOAA's five-year research plan on "Understanding and Predicting Conditions Associated with Either Too Much or Too Little Water."

The workshop represents a major step forward in planning water-related research across the joint agencies.
