LAS VEGAS - An ERDC Construction Engineering and Research Laboratory (CERL) team's poster was selected from more than 800 entries to receive a Top 3 Poster Award at the 2011 Chemical and Biological Defense Science and Technology Conference in Las Vegas, Nev., Nov. 14–18. The theme of this year's conference was "Create, Collaborate, Communicate: Ideas to Reality."
Dr. Martin Page presented the poster, "Evaluation of Emerging Decontaminants for Spore Control," and was invited to give an oral presentation of the work later during the conference. The poster team included CERL researchers Andrew Nelson, Dr. Kathryn Guy, Clint Arnett, and Mark Ginsberg.
The annual conference is sponsored by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, U.S. Strategic Command, and the Joint Science and Technology Office.
It is attended by the nation's key players in the area of chemical and biological defense. Approximately 1,800 representatives from the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Justice, Department of State, industry, and academia attended the conference.
