ERDC Engineer Recognized at Levee Safety Meeting

SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. -- ERDC Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) Hydraulic Engineer Bryan Baker was recently recognized for his exemplary support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) Levee Safety Program and the engineering and construction community during the Corps’ Levee Safety Community of Practice meetings in Southbridge, Mass.

James Dalton, chief, Engineering and Construction, and Dam and Levee Safety Officer; Eric Halpin, special assistant of Dam and Levee Safety; and Tammy Conforti, Levee Safety Program manager presented Baker with a Jefferson Cup in recognition of his efforts.

Baker has served as the technical program manager of the National Levee Database since fiscal year 2007.

The cup, engraved with the Corps castle represents the close association between Thomas Jefferson and USACE and the enduring importance of engineering to the Army and the Nation.
