VICKSBURG, Miss. (Dec. 11, 2018) – More than 75 participants — including researchers from five U.S. Army Engineer and Research Center laboratories — participated in the 4th annual meeting of the ERDC Materials Science Community of Practice held here Dec. 11-12. ERDC academic and industry partners from the University of Maine, Mississippi State University, the University of Mississippi, Colorado School of Mines, and Eaton Corporation discussed ERDC's extramural research activities in advanced metallic materials, lightweight composites and graphene nanocomposites.

 

VICKSBURG, Miss. (Dec. 11, 2018) – More than 75 participants — including researchers from five U.S. Army Engineer and Research Center laboratories — participated in the 4th annual meeting of the ERDC Materials Science Community of Practice held here Dec. 11-12.

Bart Durst, director of the Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory, kicked off the event that featured a poster session and 22 presentations in four technical sessions: Materials Characterization; Metals; Advanced Materials; and Infrastructure Materials.

ERDC academic and industry partners from the University of Maine, Mississippi State University, the University of Mississippi, Colorado School of Mines, and Eaton Corporation discussed ERDC's extramural research activities in advanced metallic materials, lightweight composites and graphene nanocomposites.
