The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s Knowledge Management Representatives met in Vicksburg, Mississippi, April 18-20 for a KMR Face to Face Workshop. The workshop was held to gather feedback from across ERDC and provide KMRs a chance to contribute input to key issues, identify gaps and encourage ongoing collaboration.

The F2F events are the cornerstone of ERDC’s knowledge management cycle, designed to help document and share what KMRs have learned.  The events are responsive to emerging opportunities and challenges in the KM community and are targeted at improving knowledge creation and sharing, as well as technology transfer, in direct support of USACE Campaign Goal 4.
The April workshop focused specifically on how to capture ERDC “Good News” stories and help create messaging to communicate KM initiatives and successes to the workforce.

“Our recent meeting was great,” said Elon Zeigler, KMR for ERDC’s Construction Engineering Research Laboratory in Champaign, Illinois. “There is good synergy among the team members.  The discussions and information presented were helpful, and I always leave the meeting energized and equipped with practical tips for KM improvements at my lab.”
