CRREL's George Blaisdell and a colleague are lifted by helicopter off the Ross Sea ice onto the deck of the research icebreaker Nathaniel B. Palmer. Blaisdell’s work in the Antarctic and other extreme cold regions recently earned him admittance to The Explorers Club.
