ERDC releases national data sheet for ordinary high watermark identificatio
Researchers from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory, alongside the Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regulators, have been developing the National Ordinary High Watermark Field Delineation Manual for Rivers and Streams for 10 years. According to the manual, one method of determining the ordinary high watermark in a stream is by identifying moss growth on stones.
