Justin Roberts, a research civil engineer with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory, and his team were awarded a patent for the Modular Anti-Ballistic, Blast and Forced Entry Resistant Shelter, or MABFERS, in October 2019.
