Dr. Al Cofrancesco, a Senior Scientific Technical Manager with the Environmental Laboratory, is retiring after 39 years with USACE! At his retirement celebration last week, ERDC Director Dr. Pittman described Cofrancesco as the epitome of world-class. ERDC Deputy Director Dr. Fleming said that Cofrancesco's ability to build relationships that turned into partnerships had a ripple effect on all of ERDC, saying "there was no relationship challenge he couldn't overcome, and that is such a gift." His celebration was attended by many retirees, including former ERDC deputy director, Dr. John Cullinane, and colleagues from headquarters.
