Costley, Jr., a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America is a research mechanical engineer in the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory. According to the ASA website, Fellows of the ASA are recognized for their notable service or contribution to the advancement or diffusion of the knowledge of acoustics or the fostering of its practical applications.
