USACE Landmarks - Antarctica
Many Antarctic landmarks are named for researchers that have significant ties to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers through its Cold Regions Research and Engineer Laboratory in Hanover, New Hampshire, one of seven labs that make up the U.S Army Engineer Research and Development Center. Our researchers are associated with major contributions to scientific knowledge or to the techniques of Antarctic exploration.
