At the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, after finishing coffee and learning about the Vogel House, guests are provided a campus tour to learn about projects currently being worked on by ERDC employees. The Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory’s Modular Protective System Multipurpose Guard Tower, shown in the photo, provides over watch for entry control point and perimeter protection. The tower may be reconfigured for different uses and has a multi-layered armor panel system allowing tailorable security based on the threat level.
