During a recent CRREL visit, representatives of the Senate Armed Services Committee and Senator Kelly Ayotte’s office were provided a briefing in CRREL’s Materiel Evaluation Facility where researchers are conducting an experiment replicating the Martian polar ice cap to better understand radar signatures of the ice layers.
