Norberto Nadal-Caraballo, Ph.D., was selected as the 2015 winner of the Great Minds in STEM™, Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Conference (HENAAC) Professional Achievement Award in Civil Engineering August 7. Nadal-Caraballo, a research civil engineer in the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center's Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory, developed statistical methodologies ("StormSim" software system) to characterize the flood risk for multiple areas in the United States.
