CRREL's Flume
The ERDC-CRREL Ice Engineering Facility’s Flume, is a 2 ft × 4 ft × 120 ft long refrigerated, tilting bed structure that constantly recirculates water and can be used to model a wide range of basic and applied research problems involving ice and river environments. Researchers can employ a wide variety of streambed media, including sand and gravel, depending on the river environment of interest.
