CRREL Products and Services

The icy terrain in remote polar research locations includes deep, often unseen, crevasses. A robotic rover, known as Yeti, conducts ground-penetrating radar (GPR) surveys to provide greater understanding of the terrain and highlight potential safety hazards.
Developed at CRREL, Cold Weather Admixture Systems (CWAS or “antifreeze concrete”) concrete allows users to mix, place, finish and cure concrete exposed to near- and sub-freezing air temperatures where normal concrete suffers irreparable damage.
CRREL builds innovative products that support the warfighter, water resources, environment, infrastructure and homeland security and specializes in cold-regions applications.
