TITLE: Review and discussion – Idea Bank, a way to become involved in future program development

PRESENTER: Dr. Robert E. Davis, Senior Scientific Technical Manager; Technical Director, Cold Regions Research & Engineering Laboratory; Chief Scientist, Geospatial Research and Engineering

ABSTRACT:  Dr. Davis will present an overview of a new ERDC approach to cultivating ideas from across the workforce.  He will then take the audience through an exploration of the Wiki set up to support the catalyst of ideas, and help set expectations.  He will plan to engage in discussion and answer questions.

BACKGROUND: On May 23, 2019, Dr. David Pittman, ERDC Director, distributed an invitation to all of ERDC employees to consider becoming more actively involved in future program development.  Based on Dr. Pittman’s guidance, an ERDC team has developed a new approach to cultivating ideas from across the workforce, which could become viable contributions to ERDC’s future investment planning for its direct-funded Army and USACE Civil Works  portfolios.
