Software branch chief selected

Vernessa Noye was recently named chief for the Software Engineering and Evaluation Branch in the Information Technology Laboratory at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Vernessa Noye was recently named chief for the Software Engineering and Evaluation Branch in the Information Technology Laboratory at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

SEEB falls under the Software Engineering and Informatics Division at ITL, where Noye brings more than 16 years of experience to her new position. Her ambition as the branch chief is to posture the SEEB as the recognized leader in software development within the Corps. She aims to accomplish this by hiring the most talented workforce available and function as a servant leader for her employees.

She started her career as a student intern with the former Waterways Experiment Station and has served in a variety of positions at ERDC, including as a technical project manager, human capital and contracts advocate, Leadership Development Program coordinator and as a software/database developer. 

Noye has received various recognitions during her career, including the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service, the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service and the ERDC Award for Outstanding Achievement in Equal Employment Opportunity. She has been a participant in the Senior Leader’s Conference and a member of the Emerging Leaders Advisory Group.
Noye earned a bachelor’s in accounting and information systems from the University of Southern Mississippi.
