CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (May 24, 2018) -- Dr. Lance Hansen, director of the Construction Engineering Research Laboratory in Champaign, Illinois, presents an Engineer Research and Development Center coin to Dr. Martin Page. Page was selected by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy to support the Subcommittee on Water Availability and Quality of the National Science and Technology Council. The purpose of the subcommittee is to advise and assist the National Science and Technology Council on policies, procedures, plans, issues, scientific developments and research needs related to the availability and quality of water resources of the United States. The subcommittee will focus on science issues and policy related to needed improvements in technology and research that will advance the goal of ensuring a safe and sustainable supply of water for human and ecological needs. Hansen recognized Page's accomplishment today during the director's inaugural town hall meeting held May 24.
