Active shooter training hosted
VICKSBURG, Miss. (July 13, 2018)--The Security Office at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, Miss., hosted Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response training this week. The training was provided by The National Center for Biomedical Research and Training at Louisiana State University. The 23 officers in attendance were from various federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. The officers received practical training in rapid law enforcement deployment to an active shooter incident through classroom presentations, hands-on performance-based field training and scenario-based practical exercises. The course covered the first five minutes of an active shooter incident.
