Research and development centers collaborate
VICKSBURG, Miss. (June 27, 2018)--Capt. Greg Rothrock, commanding officer, and Bert Macesker, executive director of the United States Coast Guard Research and Development Center visited the U.S. Army Research and Development Center headquartered in Vicksburg, Mississippi, June 27. Rothrock and Macesker attended a one-day site visit to discuss collaboration opportunities between ERDC and the USCG R&D Center. Overview presentations were presented by both organizations followed by engagements with ERDC staff at the Coastal and Hydraulics Lab, Environmental Lab, Geotechnical and Structures Lab and the Information Technology Lab. An executive level Memorandum of Agreement between the organizations is currently being staffed and will enable future collaborative efforts across all ERDC laboratories. ERDC Commander Col. Bryan Green, Rothrock, Macesker and Michael Winkler of the Strategic Integration Office posed for a photo at the conclusion of the visit.
