Researcher retires with honor
HANOVER, N.H. (Feb. 1, 2018) -- Michael Walsh with the U.S. Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory receives the Army Engineer Association’s Bronze Order of the de Fleury medal during his retirement ceremony Feb. 1. Walsh, a research mechanical engineer, retired with 31 years of federal service during which he established himself as one of the preeminent experts on military energetics research. The award was presented by 2nd Lt. Kyle Elliott, CRREL’s intern at the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education.
