U.S.-Sweden Senior Cooperation Forum - Army

    

HANOVER, N.H. (August 16, 2018) – Senior military leaders and planners from Sweden and the U.S. paused in front of a Swedish-made Small Unit Support Vehicle for a group photo at the U.S. Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory where they gathered for the annual U.S.-Sweden Senior Cooperation Forum. 

Co-chaired by the Deputy Assistant Secretaries of the Army for Research and Technology and Defense Exports and Cooperation, the event fosters broad cooperation in the areas of materiel research, development, and acquisition between the armies of the U.S. and Sweden. 

Brig. Gen. Mikael Frisell, Director, Army Department, Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, remarked, "We're impressed by the capabilities that U.S. Army labs offer and I'm glad that that the nations now look into a deeper cooperation related to cold regions supported by an impressive and dedicated lab."

S&T Session on Day 1

The S&T session is an opportunity for U.S. and Swedish subject matter experts (SME) to have more in-depth discussion prior to the SCF-A.  DASA(R&T), will lead this meeting.  On the agenda, each topic is allotted 30 minutes for: 

  • Briefings
  • Discussion
  • Development of summary slides that will be presented to the SCF-A co-chairs  on the following day.
